this may not be a water garden but involves water in a pond shaped to look pretty.
crappy pictures taken with a camera of water gardens that i drew during class that i would create in dwarf fortress which serve no function at all except to make it slower and look pretty.
i thought to try to build with the natural environment instead of against it so all my fortresses would look different. of course, that's impossible unless i build close to natural formations and use what possible functions these formations have as part of the design so it makes sense and not just look pretty.
